Proceedings of the GMC Professional Conduct Committee investigation into the case of Dr John Eastgate

An eminent child psychiatrist has faced disiplinary action for using leading questions to convince his 13-year-old patient that she had been sexually assaulted by a professor. The General Medical Council told Dr John Eastgate that his behaviour had been 'unprofessional' and 'inappropriate'. However, he was found 'not guilty' of serious professional misconduct.
